Question : Hi,

I am a 34-year-old male. My CBC reports show the following. Should i be worried or any prevention, please suggest.
Haemoglobin - 11.7
Polymorphs - 36;
Easinophils - 28,
M.C.H - 21.5,
M.C.H.C - 25.5,
Serum Creatinine - 0.69
Serum Total Cholesterol - 157

I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Your findings may suggests low hemoglobin,decreased MCH and MCHC.

Findings may be due to anemia. It may be due to iron deficiency.

You may need peripheral smear of blood for proper assessment.
Empirically you can take iron and folic acid tablet supplementation.
Take iron rich food like green leafy vegetables,eggs,meat,fish etc.

Eosinophils are also increased,it is important to know history of allergy.It may also be due to worm infestation etc.This need proper evaluation.

Other findings like creatinine and cholesterol level are within normal limit.

Thanks a lot doc, so as of now I will start with Iron & Folic Acid supplements. I even have frequent knee pain, I guess it is because of anaemia. Also, I booze little every night, any indication towards this. Thanks again.

Knee pain may be due to many reasons.
You may need few investigations like uric acid estimation, Serum calcium and vitamin D estimation, X-ray of both knees(AP and Lateral).
This also needs clinical evaluation.
Treatment depend upon findings.
Empirically you can take vitamin D and calcium tablets.

Please try to avoid alcohol.
