Posted on Thu, 12 Mar 2015
Question: Hi dr
i recently had a closed head injury and had a ct scan. Its been a month and i had a repeat ct of the head/brain wo contrast dt subarachnoid hemorrhaging.

My recent ct states
no acute intracrainial pathology. There has been interval resolution of the previously noted subarachnoid hemorrhage along the high left frontal lobe sincethe previous ct scan of the head from 1/13/15

What does that mean in latent term.

Brief Answer:
Repeat scan is normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your details, past history and reports of two CT scans of brain.

The current CT scan means that it is totally normal. The subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) that was seen on the first CT scan (dated 13th January) has completely disappeared. This is a great news!

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
