Brief Answer:
Haziness may be due to many reasons.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX

Hazy area in upper lung may be due to many reasons like pneumonia, tuberculosis, tumour etc.
It is important to know your symptoms and duration of disease.

Empirically,I suggest my patients to take broad spectrum antibiotics first. If it doesn't resolve then other conditions should be ruled out.Common causes should be considered first.

I don't think it may be emphysema because it has typically different appearance in CT scan and it can be recognized easily.

Tumour should also be excluded in non resolving pneumonia. It is important due to your age.

It is important to see for lymph nodes in thorax and other associated abnormalities.

I also suggest investigations like routine hemogram, random blood sugar.Ultrasound of abdomen and biopsy can be done if needed.PCR can be done to exclude tuberculosis.

You don't worry. You should consult pulmonologist.Mostly it is due to benign reasons. However, other possibilities can be excluded after full investigations.
