Question : low attenuation masses liiver segment 5/4 measures 7.1x5.3x6.5 by cat
Brief Answer:
It shows there might be thick fluid containing cyst or fat lesion in liver
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX rich,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. A low attenuation mass in the liver shows that there is a thick fluid containing cyst or fatty lesion.
2. Low attenuation means low density. The density in CT scan is measured using HU values and this is probably obvious in the picture.
3. The size of the lesion is 7.1 x 5.3 x 6.3 cm therefore it is a large lesion and requires a biopsy to confirm its nature.
If possible please upload the pictures for better discussion.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
