What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

Question: Hello, I reccently got an Abdominal & Pelvis CT. The doctor told me all my results came back normal. I asked for a copy of the results and was suprised to see this, "LIVER & BILIARY SYSTEM: The liver demonstrates diffuse parenchymal hypoattenution compatible with steatosis" Why wouldn't she tell me that came up, or tell me everything came back normal, if it hadn't ? Is this something to be concerned about ? Keep in mind, this was an obgyn who wanted me to do this CT scan to check for something that had no relevance to my liver, but if anything came back abnormal, I thought she would've told me. Please help me clear this up.
Brief Answer:
Means there is diffuse fatty deposits in the liver!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query. I have reviewed the attached report fully.
This is a very minute finding and most persons do have this. I am sure it is for the incidental nature that she didn’t belabor on it. However, this needs to be reviewed in context with the various liver enzymes.
If your weight is more than the recommended value, endeavor to work on through exercise, diet and lifestyle habits. Avoiding fatty meals would be very helpful as well.
I hope this helps and guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
