Question : ectasia of the distal abdominal aorta 2.5x2.4 cm serious???
Brief Answer:
No
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome. this is very small in size.
Ectasia is small bulge of aortic wall and this is common incidentall finding on ct scan.this is not same as aneurysm which is more serious and may require surgery. such small ectasias that don't reach 5cm don't require any treatment and there is no risk of rupture. all you need is to have ct follow up in 1 years to see is there significant grow. Wish you good health. Regards
