Brief Answer:
Be reassured, but do get her evaluated with a stress test (treadmill

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX ,

I have seen the uploaded reports.

Diastolic dysfunction means impaired relaxation of the heart, however it is very commonly seen in general population above 40 years and for your Mother long standing diabetic and hypertension, May be the reason for it.

Also grade 1 is the most mild and you shouldn't be worried for the same.

It is a precursor for later heart problems and so One should just be careful with diet, lifestyle and better control of diabetes and hypertension.

To know whether there is an underlying heart problem, a stress test will be ideal. I would strongly suggest you may get it done because of long standing diabetes and hypertension.

You may send all investigation so I would be in a better position to guide for the future course of action.

Brief Answer:
No for TMT, alternative perfusion scan / dobutamine stress echo

Detailed Answer:
No, I will not recommend a treadmill stress test because she might not be able to achieve the required work load if OA is moderate to severe
If possible the best in this senerio will be stress thallium scan which is best because it is more objective. However the alternative for treadmill stress test, is pharmacological stress test that is dobutamine stress test. Here they use a drug while she is at rest to make the heart work as if during the exercise.
If she has symptoms like she getting tired while she has to climb stairs, or breathlessness, or some chest heaviness an alternative is to CT calcium scoring coronary angiogram. Again I wouldn't recommend it as first choice.

So personally I suggest a perfusion scan which is optimum for her, or if facilities are not available dobutamine stress echo.
Regards
