Question : What does it mean on an EEG: abnormal recording showing left frontal temporal sharps as well as left temporal slowing
Brief Answer:
Probably structural brain lesion.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Temporal sharp waves in EEG are most likely related to seizures activity, slowing of EEG rhythm is encountered in brain lesions such tumors arteriovenous malformations etc.
So, a structural brain lesion at left temporal lobe is suspected.
MRI with contrast is necessary in such case, besides neurological examination, to achieve a correct diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
