Question : had hida scan of gallbladder showed ejection fraction at 8%. had medastinal non Hodgkins in 2009 rchop radiation. had ulcerative colitis in 2003. my primary doctor referred me to a surgeon to have gallbladder removed. would you suggest that I see my oncologist before the surgeon. the last pet scan done was in 2012. all clear then 32 yr old female.
Brief Answer:
No need to consult oncologist at this point.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thank you for tge query.
In my opinion there is no need to consult oncologist. As long as you do not have any enlarged lymph nodes, no lymphoma symptoms and your blood work is fine, we can assume that you are free from lymphoma.
So the galbladder surgery can be done.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
