Detailed Answer:
Hi Rain 7,

Thanks for the query through health care magic virtual clinic.

Your query is ambiguous. If you have a copy of the test result, please upload. I would be able to comment / help you understand better.

From what I have read, I shall try answer now with best of my ability- to satisfy you.

Normal individual does not have HIV antibodies in blood. So when such antibodies are absent, the report is -ve or less than the reference range it means there are no antibodies in blood when the tests are performed. Contrarily a +ve test indicates there are HIV antibodies in blood & indicate exposure to HIV.

Screening test also includes reference ranges ( high & low). The tests having higher values than the reference range are more important & need to be investigated further to start with treatment in time. Lower than reference range value indicate there is no active disease in body at present.

Please don't worry, you have readings lower than the reference range. But the antibodies seem to be present. I would like to review the test report to guide you further.

In the interim avoid contacting HIV ( Unprotected sex/ contact with secretions or excreta of a patient without double glove). Keep your health & resistance well by following good life style & hygiene .

I hope, the answer was informative & helpful for you. Any follow up query is welcome.
Please grade & close the query .. if you find it satisfactory.
Thanks.

Doctor,

Thank you for your quick reply. I uploaded my reports. What I do notice is that my MRN numbers are different. Mine is 774103 and the test is 0000. All of my other tests have a MRN of E655863. Not sure if this is valuable or not.

Brief Answer:
MRN is medical report number.Get confusion solved from concerned authority

Detailed Answer:
HI Rain 7,
Thank you for follow up query. it's natural to be confused with different numbers represented for same person's report.
MRN number stands for Medical record number.. and it is maintained with the object to trace reports of same person at different dates , so as to have a clear picture about progression/ regression of person's health status.
As per my knowledge the MRN number should be same through out the span of investigations. But again this can differ with individual strategies/ methods adopted & understandings at different centers.
At this stage you should meet the concerned authorities in the center ( you got tested in) show them your reports & get confirmed opinion about the change in MRN in your tests. Also have a confirmed report of your own sample.. ( there should be no confusion about it )
This is the first time you are getting tested.. different MRN numbers should not matter much at this stage (provided the reports stand for your own sample.) But this is going to form a base line for your future reports. so the confusion of MRN numbers must be solved at this stage itself.
Hope, this helps you. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Good genaral health / need for confirmatory diagnostic test for HIV

Detailed Answer:
HI XXXX,
Thanks for the follow up query, that reminded me about completing last answer.. about your downloaded reports. Actually I had to attained an urgent call..so had to close the answer before completing it. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
A) Home tests are liable for false +ve or -ve reports.
* You had also done lab. tests twice(29-1-16 &4-2-16) which stood +ve ,while reference rage was -ve both times... & that raised a confusion . Let me clear it to start with.
a) Test result +ve indicates presence of antibodies in blood ( ensuring exposure to HIV )
b) while reference rage indicates safer / treatable level of antibodies. When the reading of test is within the reference level.. the report is -ve.
While when antibodies exceed reference level.. it becomes a risky stage of disease which need urgent interference & management...so the report becomes Reference +ve.
Fortunately, your antibodies though present were within the reference rage both times & so test result was +ve & reference range test was -ve.
* The test HIV -2 ab is a screening test, and has possibility of false +ve or -ve reports..
B)As the screening test is +ve both the times in your case.. it is suggested to go for more refined tests for HIV like ( XXXXXXX blot test/ HIV RNA test ).. to get final diagnosis
C) I have also gone through your pathological blood test results. Fortunately,
- All the blood reports are within normal limits,
- Hepatic & thyroid function tests are normal,
_ there is no evidence of STDs.
In short you have a perfectly healthy body.
* For your attention deficit disorder ( which might be due to Psychological disturbance because of fear of HIV infection ).. seems to be well controlled with Adderall XR & counseling sessions. AND there is possibility of good results after the tension is relieved after the exclusion of disease/ starting specific medications to control it .
D) The confirmatory AID test may turn to be -ve.....OR..+ve...
Considering the strong health background you belong to.. even if the HIV is confirmed, you have very good chance of long healthy survival with good life style & proper medical aid. So please don't be tense & face the problem boldly.Wish you all the best.
Hope this satisfies you. any more information you need .. I am always ready to help with pleasure.
Wishing you all the best !
Thanks.
