Brief Answer:
Lovenox causes bone loss. VitaminD and calcium supplements needed!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these MRI findings and all the inconveniences this has caused you. Honestly, there are reasons to suggest that they are related to the lovenox. Lovenox causes bone loss in patients who take it for long. This is why exercise, calcium and VitD supplementation are recommended in persons taking this drug for long.

The MRI findings are suggestive of bone loss and generalized muscle and bone inflammation. A shot would help relief most of the symptoms and accelerate healing. However, I will also press for calcium and VitD supplements to mitigate the risk of bone loss associated with lovenox.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

To really clarify, besides vitamin D and calcium supplementation ( which I already take per MD )you would not be recommendating any further tests or treatment. I typed 'details' about my husband having a PE and they discovered Cancer. They did not find any reason for my PE, therefore it is considered ' non-provoked'. My worst pain is at night so I take long acting OxyContin (only at night) It helps a little, but I would rather do anything else to decrease the pain.
I do not want to be like my 'very healthy' husband who went from healthy to diagnosis of cancer to death in 4 months last year. He went to the gym for cardio and weights to stay in shape . He was the picture of health. And doctors he saw agreed it was strange to have a couple, both diagnosed with non-provoked PE , 6 months and 1 day apart. They found his Cancer. Still concerned about me.

Brief Answer:
I have no reasons to suspect cancer at this time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about a possible cancer following the experience of your husband. At this time, i do not have any information that suggests that. At this time, i would rather recommend that you follow through and get a closer follow up for early diagnosis and appropriate management.

Stay close to your doctors.
