Brief Answer:
There is a small extra bone in the right foot probably causing pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. This is the review of MRI scan right ankle done in July 2015 for pain

2. Navicular is a small bone of the foot. There is a small extra bone within the posterior tibial tendon beside the navicular bone and this is called the accessory navicular bone. You have this extra bone and it shows some suspicious swelling around it.

3. There is mild cystic change signifying early degenerative chages in the navicular bone.

4. Rest of the bones and ligaments are normal. There are few prominent veins called varices near the ankle and this is not a problem.

5. In conclusion, there seems to be an extra bone called accessory naviclular bone in your right foot which can cause pain. This condition is called accessory navicular syndrome and is usually not painful and few people have pain.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
