What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?

Question: what does the following mean? All in MRI report of my RT knee: thinning and chondrosis evident within the cartilage of the lateral patellar; synovial out-pouching--fluid filled; superficial fissuring of articular cartilage , and is an undersurface horizontal longitudinal tear in the posterior junction zone of the medial meniscus with extrusion of an undersurface flap into the gutter one that doctors fix or leave alone?Would injections of Synvest work or is the arthritis too advanced? Is there any way to upload my MRI report without identifying information? I only listed some of the findings. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Suggestive of arthritic changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The findings of the MRI scan are suggestive of age related degenerative changes in the knee. The tear of medial meniscus and the collection of fluid are all due to osteoarthritic changes. All these changes are difficult to repair. The only option is that if you have a debilitating pain and restriction of activity then knee replacement is an option.
Synvisc injections will help in reducing the friction in the knee joint thus reducing the inflammation. You can upload the MRI report in the box provided on the right hand side of this query page.
I hope this answers your query.
