Question : I have some questions about an MRI that I had done on my lower back?
Brief Answer:
You need to see a physical therapist who could demonstrate exercises
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through the mentioned details and understand the ailment that you have. The options for you are:
* Application of hot compress.
* Certain exercises that you can learn from a physical therapist.
* Spinal traction.
* Ultrasound therapy for pain relief.
The above mentioned steps will also take care of the nerve compression that you have. Surgery is required only in very severe cases.

Have tried the ultrasound therapy it helps for a few minutes then my back hurts worse. Have tried application of hot compress and cold compress which also makes my back hurt more. The chiropractor has tried traction on me twice and my hips lock up and I have sharp pains up my back.
Brief Answer:
You still need to try traction.
Detailed Answer:
In such a case, in spite of the hurting and hips locking up, traction should be the mainstay of treatment. If that does not help, surgery is the only option.
