Question : shouldnt an MRI always show an ACL. tear?
Brief Answer:
94% accuracy
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
Usually MRI shows ACL tear with 94% accuracy.
If the MRI is done in acute trauma then the oedema may obscure the view and reduce the chances of seeing the tear properly.
That's why our is recommended to do MRI after few weeks of the trauma.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
