Question : Hello Doctor,
I had lower back pain from past 4 weeks and did MRI and report is attached. Orthopaedic doctor said no major nerve compression and had put me on physiotherapy and following tablets
NuroDay PSR and Eliwel 10mg.
Now my pain is manageable but from last few days 4-5 days I am feeling wetness at my anus and feel like it's leaking but when I touch I don't see wet liquid but it smells sometimes specially when I stand and walk I feel more.
also I feel little burning sensation during and after going to bathroom.(I don't go often but 1-2 times day)
I don't understand the cause for this plz help.
when I spoke to Orthopaedic he asked me to speak to Specialist In gastrointestinal.
1. Is it due to side effect of tablets I am talking ?
2. Phyiso SWD was given where they use to give treatment which is like heat treatment , during that time I felt hot burning sensations around hip - Is it due to that ?
3. Or any other reason ?
and what is solution for the same ?

Brief Answer:
Fistula in ano
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr. R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
You are feeling wetness in the anal region and burning sensation during bowel movements.
These are not due to the tablets you are taking.
These are not due to short wave diathermy.
The most likely cause is fistula in ano and a possible anal fissure.
Fistula in ano is a condition in which a opening is seen near the anal verge which communicates with the anal canal inside.
A digital rectal examination/ano proctoscopy may be done to confirm it.
You can consult a gastroenterologist to get these tests done and confirm the diagnosis.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

Brief Answer:
Infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more questions.
The most common cause of fistula in ano is infection.
Anal fissure on the other hand occurs due to constipation.
It has nothing to do with your back ache or disc problem.
Regards,.
