Question : My pap smear reports reads the following -
Microscopy - smear shows mainly intermediate and superficial squamous cells with few polymorphs - no trichomonas or fungal organisms seen
Endocerivcal cells - absent
Koilocytotic cells - Absent
Dysplastic cells - Absent
Malignant cells - Negative for intraephitelial lesion and maligancy
Impression - Reactive cellular changes associated with inflammation

Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
The report shows almost normal report with mild inflammation at cervix caused by mild cervicitis which is treatable with 2 weeks course of antibiotics and abstinence from sex. There is no malignancy at all and no real need to be worried.
