Only 1:20 dilution is positive. Rest fo the titers are negative. But the doctor has still prescribed typhoid medication. Fever is present from last 6-7 days.

Brief Answer:
widal test is absolutely normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for query.

I saw the reports. Your reports are normal and you don't have typhoid. It could be a viral fever.
Check CBC and dengue profile, because fever is since 6-7days. Can you send me details of your medications doctor has prescribed.

Get back if any query.

Respected Sir,
I was doubting the same. Still, the examining doctor has given typhoid medication saying it is typhoid infection, as follows:
TAXIM-Of (cefixime and ofloxacin tablets).
CAYFOLAC FORTE (prebiotic and probiotic capsules).
A to Z- NS NEW multivitamin tablets.
Azithromycin tablets.

Malaria test results were negative for Plasmodium vivax and falciparum antigen.

I am also attaching the blood test results for your consideration ( in the upload section along with the Widal test results). Can you prescribe something, please? It is a constant fever of 100-101 degrees for the last 5 days.

Thank you Sir.

Hi,
Thank you for follow up.

I saw the reports. when you did all these reports, because CBC indicates thrombocytopenia (TC-3000) which can be even due to viral fever.
I don't understand why your physician precribed two antibiotics that too azithromycin.
R u having any respiratory infections,cough,vomiting?
R u diabetic,Hypertensive,COPD etc?
You can take Tab Meftal 500mg once daily if fever is above 100 F.
Drink plenty of fluids.Take bland diet.
Avoid citrus fruits and juices.

Get back to me if any query.

Thank you Sir,
Today the temperature throughout the day is 97 F. However the nauseating feeling is still present. Do you think medication is still required? Right now, I am taking paracetamol, multivitamin and pre/pro-biotic tablets only. I have stopped taking antibiotics. Another doctor although suggested that 1:20 in Widal test suggests some sort of intestinal infection and asked to take antibiotic for that.
Should I continue taking antibiotics? And if yes which ones?
Thank you.
