I went to dr to get xrays because of my symptoms which were and still are pain in this huge knot in the back of my neck at my spine it makes the back of my head feel very heavy all the way down to the middle of my back down the spine. also I have 2 large not on my clavicle both of them that are very hard do not move the skin turns red at night sometimes I have sharp pains that generate across my chest and I have numbness going down my arms into my elbows and sometimes is in my hand
Brief Answer:
I suggest for MRI of cervical spine.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Your symptoms like numbness in hand may be due to nerve involvement in cervical region.
I suggest for MRI of cervical spine. It is important to assess status of nerve, whether there is any compression on nerve roots or not.
It is also important to asses inter-vertebral disc prolapse etc.
X-ray is not able to assess nerve roots etc.MRI is best for complete assessment.
It is also important to asses cardiac status due to chest pain. You may need complete evaluation for it.

Hope I have answered your query.
