Brief Answer:
The fasting sugar level is abnormal

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Good evening. Thanks for writing to HCM.

1. Your fasting sugar test is abnormal. The normal fasting level is less than 100. It would be good to do a 2hr 75 gm GTT to confirm if you indeed have diabetes / pre diabetes. You should do a Hba1c test along with it.

2. Having a fruit alone at dinner is not the cause of this. The fasting sugar is only partially dependent on the diet the previous night. It chiefly shows the amount of glucose in the blood released from liver stores. In essence, it shows if your insulin in the body is working well or not.

3. Yes, you should follow a diet for BP and cholesterol. It would mean a diet low in salt and saturated fats and high in vegetables and fruits. No smoking. Daily exercise for 30 mts.

Do you have a family history of diabetes? What is your height and weight? Have you ever had abnormal sugar test results in the past?

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Its normal. Nothing to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again. Your tests results are both perfectly normal. You need not worry. The best test to find out regarding diabetic or pre diabetic status is the glucose tolerance test as I mentioned earlier. You can do it later sometime to double confirm the situation. Just work on how you can relieve the stress. That should do. Anytime in the future if you do the GTT test please let me know the numbers. To your question I feel both your reports are normal. That's good news. Take care. warm regards. Dr Praveen.

Brief Answer:
Autonomic function issue perhaps

Detailed Answer:
Well please try to do an autonomic function test. Sweating and temperature is related to the autonomic nervous system and you may have some impairment. That's probably why especially since all the other tests are within normal limits. People who are stressed or easily nervous can have such symptoms as well. Don't worry. It can be sorted out. Some conditions need detailed probing which may take some time. Stay calm and try to relax. Its a good thing that all your tests are fine so far which puts you in a good state of health. I understand your concern and trouble but let me assure you that all conditions can be diagnosed and treated. Some take a little longer. That's all. I will definitely get back when I see your reports. Take care. Warm regards.
