Brief Answer:
Start drug AND life style changes

Detailed Answer:
Dear friend,

HDL is good cholesterol – higher, the better… your level is in range

LDL is bad cholesterol – lower, higher side of normal range.
Triglycerides level is increased.
In the absence of any other risk factor 100 is ideal for LDL-C. In the presence of ischemia, 70 should be the aim.

Keep your WEIGHT to normal / even a little less.
QUIT SMOKING – immediately, completely and permanently.
Do regular EXERCISE – say walking or jogging - 30 minutes a day / at least 5 days in a week. Isometric exercise (like bull worker) is bad.
Healthy FOOD is a must. Avoid saturated fats – coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, full cream milk...Avoid junk foods in particular – French fries have palm oil / Pizza has cheese / XXXXXXX sweets are made in ghee.../ Change to Poly-un-saturated oil – like sun flower oil. / Include Mono-un-saturated oil – Olive oil.

Repeat the test in 8 weeks.
If cholesterol still high in spite of following suggestion then

It is wiser to START DRUG..
Statin (like Atorvastatin or Rosuvastatin etc .)is the first choice.
Start it straight away – even with normal levels, even without problems (Primary Prophylaxis)
Ask your Primary Care Provider and get appropriate prescription

Follow up eosinophil after a month or two… Absolute count is in range… nothing do for the present…

Take care
Good luck

Thank you Doctor for your reply. For cholesterol, you have mentioned to start medicines (statin). But would that mean I need to take it life long once started? or can I stop the medicine once the cholesterol levels come down? Also I have persistent pain in my feet and legs, even if I am not doing any physical activities. This has been for past 2-2.5 years. Could it be due to my high cholesterol levels?

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
Prevention is life long / See bone specialist too

Detailed Answer:
Hi

For a long life, the medicines ought to be taken lifelong!
When the vehicle is running well, we dare not stop service or fuel…
One has to be proactive...prevention is better than cure

The pain in the feet has no relation to the cholesterol…
Some common causes are deformity of the arch, plantar fasciitis and so on.
The ideal option is to consult a bone specialist (Orthopaedician); get examined and investigated…
