Question : if my bloodwork shows my ALT at 84 and my AST is at 78 what do you think diagnosis is?
Brief Answer:
Following answer to your query.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
If your transaminases levels are slightly elevated this is a sign of liver damage. On that occasion the most common causes are:
- Viral hepatitis
- Alcohol hepatitis
- Gallbladder issues
If you were my patient I would recommend to do the following examinations to find out what is causing elevated transaminases:
- viral test for hepatitis (especially for hepatitis B and C)
- abdominal ultrasound
- plasma activated prothrombin time
Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
