default
Posted on Thu, 2 Feb 2017
Question: My Triglycerides from blood test went from 60 to 234 in 2 months and my AST went from 31 to 44 and ALT went from 44 to 100 GGTP at 191 as a result of a blood test for a life insurance application, when I saw my doctor back in October not blood test issues but I told him or my recent neurapathy symptoms. Pre-diabetes? REcommendations?

Brief Answer:
Triglycerides jumping in four months has to be confirmed by rechecking

Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome to HCM,
First of all Triglycerides jumping that high in four months has to be confirmed by rechecking. One of the reports may be wrong.
But if true---yes it is Pre-Diabetes.
What is your height in centimeters and abdominal girth at Navel?
I would advise a strict Diabetic diet--cut down on fried, refined (sugar, white bread, white rice), red meat. And increase your vegetable, salad and sprout intake.
Also I hope you are exercising. Please get down to ideal body weight and walk vigorously for at least 5 km a day.
This may bring down your tendency to Diabetes and your liver enzymes too.
Check HbA1c too.
Please revert back--regards
