Brief Answer:
Give her plenty of fluids to drink.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. It is apparent that as a result of the mono (a viral infection) your child possibly somehow has developed an electrolyte imbalance. This could be the cause of the muscle spasms and the lack of energy is associated. I would insist you to give her juicy fruits like citrus fruits. They contain plenty of potassium which should help in proper functioning of the muscles and in reduction of the cramps. You also need to increase her total fluid (water) intake and ask her to take plenty of ORS (oral rehydration solution) to replenish the lost fluids and salts. Giver her paracetamol or acetaminophen in case she still has body ache.

Please be patient. It should soon be fine. Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
