Question : I am scheduled for a chemical stress test.
I am 63 y/o male. I have PAD The test is to check my heart.
I have had Gullian Barre in the late 1970's
I have also had cervical fussion C 5 to C7
I have PAD and Am on Pretal
Truthly I am scared. Do not understand it.

I read your query and understood your concerns.

The chemical stress test is done to check your heart function and to excludeischemic heart disease.

This is done because doctor may have seen an abnormal ecg or due to previous cardiac problems. Moreover you can't do a normal stress test because of your spine problems.

You shouldn't worry about it, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have cardiac problems.
