Brief Answer:
Rule out dengue fever/Hepatitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear
welcome to the HCM,
Requires to rule out Hepatits & its cause/Dengue.

All the symptoms suggest that there is a further need of evaluation of the child in terms of CBC, PLATELET COUNT, ESR, TYPHI DOT TEST. LFT, HbsAg, dengue NS1 antigen,& dengue serology.
Recovery it may take one week or more,it depends on your child body response to treatment.
I suggest you get all investigations done for proper treatment and for speedy recover.

Proper consultation with pediatrician and hospitalization to be considered.
Hope the query is answered.
thanks

Brief Answer:
Hepatitis present, Exclude Dengue/Enteric Fever

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Raised SGPT CONFIRMS LIVER PATHOLOGY ( HEPATITIS) , Type of hepatitis can be known by some specific DNA test.

But few things not to be overlooked are B/L pleural effusion. gall bladder swelling, ascitis and enlarged liver and spleen etc. These all findings are quite concerning and my opinion is to rule out Dengue fever by simply doing a blood test Dengue NS1 antigen and dengue serology and also typhi dot test (igm& igg).
Presently hospital care is the need for proper management.
Hydration and nutrition of the child to be cared.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Bilirubin rising.platelets ok,may fall late on

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Serum bilirubin is gradually increasing, but more specific will be the SGPT and PROTHROMBIN TIME for the hepatitis current status.

Still I would like to remind about the exclusion of a little more complicated disease (dengue) by a test--> dengue NSi antigen and serology.
Platelets are quite variable, at this moment they are ok. but one should be vigilant about there gradual fall. and also the regular blood pressure monitoring is of utmost importance.
Nutrition and adequate hydration to be given much care.
Hope for the speedy recovery of the child.
Thanks
