What Does My Colposcopy Report Result Indicate?
Question: Hi,
I had a colposcopy with 3 biopsies on Friday morning (3 days ago) and I felt fine afterward. I did a 6 mile run yesterday and started having mild cramping after and continued to feel cramping throughout the day. This morning i am still feeling crampy. In addition, when i used the restroom yrsterday i noticed white discharge with kind of an egg consistency. It is similar to the monthly discharge i get with my cycle...but i wondering if that is what it is. Please advise.

Hi,
These sound like new symptoms which you had not in the past and hence more anxious. Hence please let me know why was colposcopy done?
These sound to be due to the disorder you have for which colposcopy was done. Colposcopy was a stressful procedure as well, you could have procedure related injury, can't be ruled out now.
I totally do not attribute this discharge to regular menses, it could be chronic cervicitis.
Let me know other known details.

These sound to be due to the disorder you have for which colposcopy was done. Colposcopy was a stressful procedure as well, you could have procedure related injury, can't be ruled out now.

I had not had any symptoms before. I had abnormal cells when I got my annual pap smear. I am concerned it could be an infection .

yes it could be infection. it needs treatment. Since you didn't have any problems prior to colposcopy this is a new inflammation via infection. it needs oral antibiotics which are prescription based. You should see your regular OBGYN.
