                                    Brief Answer:
Scarring of liver
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more questions.
Fibrosis of liver is scarring of liver tissue. New medications are being developed to reverse fibrosis and many are still in experimental stage.
Cirrhosis is different. It is scarring with haphazard regeneration of the liver tissue which causes many complications like portal hypertension (increased pressure in the blood vessels to liver), encephalopathy ( which affects functioning of brain etc).
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

Yes, with anti-fibrosis medications
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As I said earlier, anti-fibrosis medications can be taken to reverse fibrosis.
Why you have developed fibrosis should also be looked in to and treated.
You can consult a hepatologist to find the cause for liver fibrosis and for prescription of anti-fibrosis medications.

Dr.R.K.
