Question : What does it mean is easier words: "Sections of the terminal ileum show fragments of small bowel tissue with a normal villous architecture. The lamina propria shows scattered lymphoid aggregates, but no neutrophilic infilltrates.

Hi,

1. Terminal ileum is the terminal section of small bowels. It has been identified with normal villous architecture. No pathologies noted, so, no worries.

2. The presence of scattered lymphoid aggregates are indicative for possible inflammation of bowels.

Lamina propia is the part of intestines consisting of loose connective tissue filling the spaces between intestinal glands and forming the cores of the intestinal villi. If no neutrophilic infiltrates are present, then, no infection of bowels is present.

3. Full colonoscopy report together with clinical symptoms are needed to give a more specific judgement.
