Question: I have a fecal occult blood of 32 ng/ml. My lab says below 49 is normal. Is my reading still considered positive?

I keep reading on the internet that any amount of blood is considered positive and that my reading of 32ng means I'm positive for blood, if only slightly. Could this be true?

this is not true
Cut off value depends in type of test and inmost cases this is 50 or 100ng. some new test has 25ng as to be lower limit,but it is not true that any amount is considered positive
