Question : it is my ultra sound report
liver is normal size 12.1 cm
gall bladder is contracted
pancreas is normal
spleen normal size is 7.2
right kidney 9.4x3.6 echotexture is normal no focal lesion ,no calcification noted ,no calculus is seen
left kidney 9.4x4.1 echotexture is normal no focal lesion ,no calcification noted ,no calculus is seen
Urinary bladder is well distended normal
Prostate Enlarged in size 3.9x3.3x4.2 cms=vol 28cc shape and echotexture normal No focal calcification is noted thereis no evidence of aortic or para caval lymph nodes and no free fluid in the peritoneal cavity
prostatomegaly grade 1

BPH is the early stages is treated with antiandrogen drugs.
I generally prescribe oral pills of finasteride for 6 months. It's effect is monitored by an ultrasound.
This pill is known to delay the progession of BPH
