default
Posted on Tue, 13 Jun 2017
Question: Hi,

I did lab work for pre marriage test and the doctor said is normal except blood cells . is this has something to do with the heart because i had before chest pain and the cardiology did stress test , ECHO test and both were normal . he said also he want do CT coronary test but i didn't feel the pain as before so i didn't do it. but i still have the dis comfort some time . do you recommend me to do CT coronary test to make sure i don't have heart problem as i am concern about the radiation so i didn't do it . and i also stopped taking baby aspirin for one month by myself because it it can cause side effect as bleeding . i have also issue with blood pressure and i still take amaldopine 5mg. please also look to the lab report below and let me know if the result is ok. or is there any thing may concern ?

chest discomfort

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your concern

"As" per your history is concerned your blood report has no connection with your heart. So for your satisfaction you can do one [coronary angiogram test]which will clarify if you have any blockage present in side your arteries of your heart.

Secondly if your doctor has prescribed aspirin you can take with any PPI drugs.

Thirdly you have mentioned about blood pressure medications and I may say that continue with it if pressure is normal and check your BP every 15 days and tell your doctor to adjust medications.

So regarding lab report nothing to be worried at all.

Hope that helps

I have chest discomfort for few days now is bothering me and made me anxious if i have cardiac issue . I asked the doctor if he can lower the blood pressure medication but he asked me what my blood pressure usually i told him 140/40 he said in my age should be under 130/80 . And do you recommend me to make an appointment with general doctor to discuss the discomfort issue in the chest or i make appointment directly for CT coronary ango because the cardiology told me if i do this test and the result is normal i don't have any cardiac issue even though i did stress test , echo, x ray , ct chest before and all were normal and i cam concern about the radiation if i do this test ?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your follow up query

“As” per your follow up query please follow my replications point wise
:
1)Do check your blood pressure at doctor’s office and authorize him to adjust dosage. For your age, lower pressure should be between 60-85 mmhg

2)Regarding angiogram I may verbalize that there will not be any radiation quandary at all and it is 100% safe, so do it to check any blockage present or not which is very crucial .

3)You can meet your cardiologist for this resolution and he will do this test in cardiac XXXXXXX lab.

4)If your other tests are normal we cannot verbally express angiogram will be normal.

Hope you recognize my points so do a test today and let me know the outcome to guide you more in this matter.

Thanks and wishing you a good health

Brief Answer:
Coronary angiogram

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your follow up query

"As" per your doubt I may say it is CT angiogram done in XXXXXXX Lab by cardiologist and regarding high beam radiation you have mentioned is not correct at all and it has no side effects. As per clinical examination you have no cardiac issues so nothing to be apprehensive at all. The test was suggested only to alleviate anxiety of cardiac illness. In my own opinion if any risk factor like blood pressure, Diabetics and smoking history are present, doing a test is preponderant.

Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your follow up doubt

1)As per your query I may say that lower pressure 80 mmhg is normal for your age and upper pressure should be within 140 mmhg for your age and above 140 mmhg will be considered high for your age as you are only 30 years old.

2)As per your second query I may say that there is radiation but it is very less for any tissue damage as you are not exposing again and again please read it carefully.

So nothing to be worry at all and consult with your cardiologist.

Hope that helps

Wish you a good health

Hi,

Thanks for your follow up query

“As” per your query regarding tablet [propranolol] I may say that preliminary dosage we prescribe 40 mg twice a day and if no response then dosage will be increased further. So for your case 20 mg three times per day is not high at all.

Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your follow-up query,

As per your query, I'd say it will help, if your chest discomfort is associated with hypertension. Do take customarily as advised by your doctor and check your BP in every 15 days or so.

Thanks
