Dear Doctor,

If all these tests are normal and I do not need further test which I quite agree with you because you asked me not to do HIV test again that it would be negative but I did it again and in fact, it is still negative which shows that you are a very professional indeed.

However, below are my questions:
1. What is really wrong with me for the migrating body/joint aching for more than 14 weeks now?
2. Is there any test I need to do again that I have not done?
3. Or do I need to talk to Neurologist about my pain?

Please I need your help as I cannot continue like this.

Many thanks.

Brief Answer:
Few other tests might be done, if they are also normal, you need a visit to the psychiatrist for further assistance

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for writing back. I apologize for the late response.

It is a normal question to have after having all those normal test results while you still feel the pain in your body.

You seem to have made almost all the needed tests to rule out major conditions.
What I would consider my patients to have done in this case is CBC, ESR, RF, ANA, these are all to rule out Rheumatological causes of joint problems. Also if you are in an area where Lyme disease is a problem than being tested for it might be a good idea.

In some rare cases, gluten in diet might cause body aches also so trying a gluten free diet or rule it out with the test for it might also be considered.

If all come out normal then I would recommend you to see a psychiatrist doctor to check out if anxiety is the cause of your symptoms and how to help with it.

I hope this is helpful and answers your questions but please feel free to write back if any more clarifications are needed on this.

Kind regards,

Antoneta Zotaj, MD

Brief Answer:
No CBC uploaded yet

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

I have checked the uploaded images and there is no CBC uploaded. It is again the HIV, HepB, HepC, chlamydia, Syphilis, and thyroid tests which as explained were normal.

Please upload the CBC so I can check it and interpret the result of it.

Kind regards,

Brief Answer:
CBC and inflammation index CRP are normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Thank you for sending me the test results. CBC and CRP (inflammation index) are within normal limits and this reduces the chances for an inflammatory cause of joint pains. Also, the lack of swelling and redness are a supportive sign of this.

Depending on the area you live if there is any risk of Lyme disease, I would recommend you to have that test. Also, if you have been in an endemic area for Lyme disease recently, it's important to get it done.

Very rarely gluten allergy might cause joint aches and I would consider it if the bowel movement is loose.

If all these tests come out normal, pease be reminded that I would then recommend you to see a counselor and or psychiatrist to see the chance of stress being the cause of your symptoms.

I hope this is helpful but please let me know if any more clarifications needed on this.

Kind regards,

Antoneta Zotaj, MD
