Question : Hi there I am a 25 year old woman and think that I have a hormone imbalance. Just got blood taken on May 7th which is day 14 of my menstrual cycle (day 1 being the first day of my period.) TSH 1.04, progesterone 5.1 nmol/L, prolactin 16.3 ug/L, thyroxine free 17.4 pmol/L. What does this mean?
Brief Answer:
Your value look quite normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concern here.
I have gone through your test results and in my opinion there value with in normal range (though varies lab to labs) but your progesterone value is low(less than 6 before ovulation) it means low possibility of ovulation.
Usually hormonal test done on day-3 and FSH, LH, estrogen and progesterone levels done.
Before giving my opinion I want to ask why your hormonal test done on day 14?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks
Regards
