
What Does My Liver Function Test Indicate?



I performed Liver Function Test and have elevated results of ALT, AST and Bilurubin
(All reports attached)
ALT:127
AST:45
Bilurubin Total:1.30
A year before, my AST was 60.
The ultrasound done 1.5 year before said "Normal size but, Liver slightly Hypoechoic". (1.5 years ago)
Yesterday ,I had done test for Lipid profile & the following below
Triglycerides : 120 (normal)
HDL : 28 (marginaly low)
LDL :114 (marginaly high)
Glucose Hexokinase : 95 (normal)
Tests for Ferritin, Ceruloplasmin, Antinuclear antibodies, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C are Negative.
I am 80 Kg with 5' 10" heaight. No smoking / drinking/Medical drugs. I have 6-7 Lipoma on my skin.
0 Symptoms.
please suggest if I am at risk of Liver disease or XXXXXXX ? What should I be doing to get things to normal ? Is this alarming ?

Your ALT is significantly elevated.
There are many different causes for raised ALT.
Fatty liver disease is the most common cause of raised ALT.
Other causes have been ruled out in your case.
I presume you are not on any liver toxic medications.
Your BMI is 25.3 and so you are slightly overweight.
As suggested by your doctor, please get the LFT repeated after 4 weeks.
If it still shows a high ALT, get an ultrasound scan to confirm fatty liver.
If fatty liver is confirmed, the first step in the treatment is weight reduction.
