Brief Answer:
Quit drinking and take medications

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

You are probably having alcoholic hepatitis.
You have to quit drinking alcohol and you have said you have already quit drinking.
It may take a couple of weeks for the liver to recover.
Also get tested for Hepatitis B and C to know whether any of these infections are present and additionally causing damage to the liver.
One more test has to be done - PT/INR.
This will help to know how your liver is going to recover and to plan treatment.
You may require a few medications like S adenosyl methionine, pentoxifyline which will help the liver to recover from the damage caused by alcohol. You have mentioned that you have already started with Heptral and M/V. It is the right treatment and continue as advised by your treating doctor.

I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
