What Does My Liver Function Test Report Indicate?

Question: Hi doctor..

I got report for liver function test for my mom. Globulin level is high which is 3.8. Where as the normal value between 2.3 and 3.6.my doctor is saying nothing to worry about it.

She s having recurrent cough for 2days.

Also doctor s saying cough s due to some allergy...and he is not saying why globulin level is high

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

Dear me doctor seems to be right globulin is increased but not increased to any significant levels 0.2 increase in globulin doesnt signify anything it can be due to low water or due to any minor reason yea if globulin were 4.t or more then it was a concern.

I would like you not to panic and do not get concerned about the globulin. You can get the cough treted as a simple allergy ...globulin doesnt have anything to do with the cough.

I have looked in to the report it is really a perfect report you do not have to worry about the liver at the least, it is working really fine and lover profile is quite fine there is no problem in that.

I would suggest you not to panic and follow the treatment which your doctor suggests your mother. She will get better I am quite positive about this :

Thanks for writing back, you do not have to reduce the level of globulin , it isn't dangerously raised so stay calm , everything is fine repeat the test after a month and see if level is increasing or decreasing then you can discuss the results with your doctor.

Regarding medicines, your mother can use then without any issues and keep following up with your psychiatrist.
