Question : I have recently undergone a abdomen and pelvic scan and the report says:
1, in the left kidney, there is a lower pole cyst, mid pole para pelvic cyst and upper pole cortical cyst.
Left kidney is normal in position and axis. Cortico medullary differenciation is intact, PCS and upper ureter appears normal.
Is there something to worry. please suggest.

                                    Brief Answer:
Need to know about right kidney
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
There is nothing to worry about. Benign cysts are known to occur and is of no harm unless it gets infected or starts bleeding. There is a possibility of it being a congenital issue for that I would like to know if there are any cysts in the right kidney as well.
In the meantime I recommend that you undergo Contrast enhanced CT scan of the kidneys to know the texture and actual number of cysts as some of them wont be visible on a ultrasound
I hope I was of help, please get back to me with the details of the right kidney
Regards
