What Does My Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

Question: I WENT FOR A SEMEN TEST AND THE RESULT WAS EPITHELIAL CELLS IS 1-2/HPF, PUS CELLS IS 2-3/HPF AND ORGANISM ISOLATED IS NO GROWTH. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG AND HOW TO CORRECT IT.

Your semen analysis findings are normal.
Few pus cells in semen is acceptable.Pus cells more than 10 in number should be the cause of concern.
Few pus cells may be found due to contamination in genital tract.
No growth in culture also indicate absence of infection.
Few epithelial cells are also normally found in semen.

It is important to know other parameters of semen analysis like sperm count,motility,morphology etc.

sluggishly motile: 00 00 %
non motile: 00 00 %
abnormal forms: 00
sperm agglutination: absent
R.B.C: 1-2/hpf
macrophages: occasional

FSH-LH-Prolactin-Testosterone

follicular stimlating hormone: 31.520 H 1.5 - 12.4 mIU/m1
leutinizing hormone, serum: 16.16 H 1.7 - 8.6 mIU/m1
prolactin: 217.20 males:8.6 mIU/m1
total testosterone serum: 4.37 adult males: 2.8 - 8.0 ng/m1

Biopsy of testsis should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX

I have gone through your findings in detail.
Your condition is called as azoospermia(absence of sperm in semen).
Your condition need proper clinical examination and ultrasound of testis(including colour doppler).Trans rectal ultrasound (TRUS)can also be done to assess seminal vesicle as semen fructose is negative.Seminal vesicle may be absent or blocked as semen fructose is negative.

Since FSH and LH are high with normal testosterone level,it may indicate partial testicular failure.Biopsy of testis should be the next investigation.It is important to exclude testicular failure.

Regarding treatment,Sperms can be be aspirated called as TESA (testicular sperm aspiration) and it can be used for IVF.
Biopsy is vital for you,next plan depend upon this.
