Question : My semen analysis report....sperm count 65mill/ml,motility active 25%,sluggish 25%,immotile 50%,morphology normal....m married for 2 years with no kids....my wife had a miscarriage this year in XXXXXXX ....what shud i do 4 my low count and immotility?

Hi,

I saw your semen analysis report.

Your semen analysis is perfectly normal.

You don't need any treatment for the same. Sluggish + Rapid motility together is 50% which is normal.

This is proven by the fact that your wife was already pregnant once.

You don't require any treatment.

Thank u doc...my wife got pregnant after 1&1/2 years of marriage ....but sadly had to be aborted cos usg showed no signs of fetal cardiac activity even upto 10 weeks of gestation....prior to pregnancy she had her follicular studies done...which showed some big cysts/follicles....d doc said sum problem in ovulation 4 which she was given meds ...post abortion after few months she did her usg on d 10th day of mens....n same findings like big cysts,follicles for which she took one shot of inj.hcg.....but her menses started again....so pls advise..wat more to be done?

Hi,

The scan your wife underwent is called follicular growth scan which is the correct way to go forward.

Please let your wife continue same treatment for few more months. Have sexual Intercourse when hCG injection is given for ovulation. There are food chances of pregnancy.

Don't worry about previous abortion. Many women undergo such abortions. This need not repeat again.
