Question : Hello I got my semen analysis report today.. below are the observations

Colour: Opaque White
Volume : 3.0ml
PH: 7.2
Viscosity: Normal
Actively Motile: 70%
Sluggishly Motile: 10%
Non Motile: 20%

PUS cells: 3-4
RBC: Nil
Total Sperm count: 60million/mL

Can you pleas advice

Thanks for query .

Based on the report of your semen analysis that you have uploaded I would state that your semen analysis report all the important parameters like count ,motility is well within normal range of WHO standards However presence of 3-4 pus cells suggests infection which needs to be treated with appropriate antibiotic as per culture report .

Get your semen culture done and take antibiotic as per sensitivity report for 4-6 weeks ..

Repeat semen analysis after 6 weeks to check the results .

There is no mention of morphology of sperms in given report .

Thanks for the reply... I will get the semen culture done... is presence of pus cells create infertility problems?

Can you please brief me about the morphology of sperms which you have mentioned.. so I need to do a separate test for that as well?

Report about morphology of sperm is a routine part of semen analysis It is not a separate test .I failed to understand why laboratory has not mentioned it in report .

Morphology of the sperms deals with shape and anatomy of sperms .
