Question: 35yr male 6'1 205lbs 36 waist
just received my tests results
Total cholesterol 208
Triglycerides 135
HDL 40
LDL 141
T.Chol/HDL ratio 5.2
estimated CHD risk 1.1
I do not have a primary care Dr or health ins. I have been feeling a little sluggish lately which prompted me to get tested - what should be my nest step? are my results bad?

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Your HDL cholesterol is borderline and your LDL cholesterol is slightly high. Cholesterol/HDL ratio is slightly high.

You should control your diet first.

Try a low fat diet with high amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids and take high fiber diet.

Repeat your lipid profile after 1 month. No need to worry too much. After a month, if required you can take a drug like atorvastatin. Right now, no treatment is required.
