Question: Hello Dr.,
I have query regarding my father,

We were just gone for a formal health checkup and we got 40% blockage in TMT report and my father also have diabetic problem he takes medicine everyday

Can you please suggest me do we actually need to do enjoygraphy now or its OK?

I have gone through the details and understand your concerns. The first thing I would suggest you is to mention the symptoms and to upload the TMT report using the facility on the upper right of this page. I need to know whether your father is getting chest pains at rest or on exertion. A TMT indicates whether the subject is showing stress pattern or ischemic changes in ECG during effort. It does not indicate how much blockage is there in the arteries supplying the heart. An angiography is done to detect the amount and position of blockage(s) present. In any case, if the symptoms are not severe and if there is a 40% blockage in the right side of the heart.
I would await your response which would enable me to comment upon whether you need to go for angiography.
