Question : Hi

According to my last MENSTRUAL cycle date of May 22. I should be 4 wks 3 days pregnant. Early ultrasound taken says I have a low lying gestation sac of diameter 1.3 (5+ weeks) with no foetus identified. I also have an anteverted uterus with antero inferior fibroid 2.4 cm x 1.8 cm also a right lateral fibroid 3.6x2.7 cm. Additionally a right adnexal heterogeneous mass 3.2cmx1.9x3.4 and one to the left 2.1cmx 1.1cm endemetriomas
Is there a need for concern and are there any necessary steps that I can take?

I have never been pregnant before. Usually painful periods with medium to heavy flow.
I am currently feeling low abdominal pulling off and on pains and tender nipples

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting health care magic.
It is too early to test for viability via ultrasound, so you will have to wait for another ten days to reach any conclusion.
According to the symptoms it seems that everything is alright and will be fine on next ultrasound.
Take a note of the following points -
- have a good rest with no exertion at all
- avoid intercourse
- take ample amount of water
- take good amount of milk and green leafy vegetables
- almonds and walnuts are very good and should be taken on daily basis
- avoid any kind of stress
Take care

I have seen alot of information online concerning low implantations and miscarriages. Can you tell what percentage of low implantations miscarry?

I understand that it is too early and i am no longer concerned. I am also paying attentions to the precautions however I still wanted to know the statistics for a low lying gestational sac case since you would be exposed to that kind of data better than I would be. I additional wanted to know generally speaking again the threats of fibroids and endometriomas on pregnancy. Thank you so much

Brief Answer:
About 30-40% chances of healthy pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Low lying gestational AAC is not very commonly seen as usually pregnancies abort before that stage.
But if seen as in your case chances of healthy pregnancy are about 30-40% maximum and are of course increased if adequate precautions are taken.
Let's hope for the best.
Fibroids especially if smaller than 3cm have no much implication in pregnancy outcome once cardiac activity appears but endometriosis can increase abortion risk by about 1.6 times than a normal patient.
But this risk is with severe endometriosis and not with mild to moderate disease.
