My dad's general health checkup ultrasound report says he has a fatty liver.

Brief Answer:
Need not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Fatty liver is usually a harmless condition especially when the liver function is within normal limits.
Your father's liver enzymes are within normal limits. So there is no need to worry.

Fatty liver is reversible if the risk factors are eliminated.
Some of the risk factors are alcohol intake, obesity, diabetes and high cholesterol levels.
His blood glucose and HbA1C are within normal limits and his cholesterol is not significantly raised.
So if he has the habit of drinking alcohol he needs to quit drinking.
If he is obese, he needs to reduce weight and keep his BMI under 25.

Regards,
Dr.R.K
