Brief Answer:
It is probably because of the position of baby and not a concern

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. I do ultrasound scans and regularly have patients asking questions like the one you have asked.

2. At 37 weeks the baby might show a false lower than usual biparietal diameter and if the head circumference is normal then there is no concern. This happens because of the head position there might be slight over riding of skull bones and this is acceptable because the head is soft in a baby.

3. If your earlier ultrasound scans showed normal HC and BPD then your baby is surely going to be normal.

4. It is seen that FL and AC are normal for your baby and estimated fetal weight is 2932 grams and in the normal range.

5. The amount of fluid is normal as seen from AFI and the baby movements are also fine with BPP 8/8

In conclusion, the baby is likely perfectly normal and you should not panic. Wish you a safe delivery.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
You might discuss getting a fetal Doppler on recommendation of gynecologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. I have read through the ultrasound scan report at 32 weeks. The chance of a true reduction is BPD is low. I reassure you that your baby is doing fine.

2. If your doctor recommends then please get a fetal Doppler scan done. This will show the blood flow in the brain (middle cerebral artery), umbilical artery and both uterine arteries. This gives a better information on the growth of baby when there is a suspicion.

3. With my practical experience after having done scans for more than 10 years, there is absolutely no reason to worry. However you might discuss with your gynecologist if she recommends a fetal Doppler and then proceed with it.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
