Question : Hi
I just had 25 mg of athenol this morning,tomorrow evening I will have an urine drug test.
Will they find something positive ?

Yes it will.

Hi,
This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist.
Atenolol is excreted mainly in urine. If taken in oral form, 50% of the drug is excreted in urine.
So yes your urine will be positive for Atenolol.
But this is a special test only & not done routinely. So it will only be found, only if someone is looking especially for it.

My test will be relative for drivers so positive to cannabinoids cacaine amphetamine and so on and I noted to the venue of creatinine.Do you think that any value will be positive or out of normal ?

Urine test will not be positive for anything else except atenolol, if you are not taking it.
And i think taking atenolol will not be a problem.
