Brief Answer:
Urinary tract infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

Abdominal pain, along with the given urine report indicates urinary tract infection. You already got the antibiotic ofloxacin.Even after 4 days of antibiotics,if you are having persisting pain, this indicates poor response to oflox-this needs a review of antibiotic, and a careful abdominal examination to rule out any other underlying causes.

If I was your treating doctor, after abdominal examination, I will change to another antibiotic like cefixime, and will add some analgesics like paracetamol+dicyclomine or mefanamic acid+dicyclomine.
Also, urine alkalizing agents like citrate solution will boost up recovery.
Kindly get back to your doctor. He will guide you.
Meanwhile,drink plenty of fluids.

Wishing for a faster cure,
Thank you.
Dr Aslam.

My doctor has prescribed alkacitral , pyridine, urispas. After taking these my urine is very yellow. I have never seen such yellow colour in my urine. Is it normal. How long does it take to get cured.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

It is fine that your doctor have given you citrate solution and antispasmodic as I mentioned earlier.Along with antibiotics, this will take care of symptoms in 2-3 days, although the antibiotic course will take 5-7 days to complete.

There is nothing to worry about urine color. This is due to some additives used in the drugs.Just have adequate amount of fluids.

Wishing you a faster cure,
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Go for urine culture and sensitivity

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Usually, pain will be controlled by 5 days of antibiotics. If still you are having pain,it is better to repeat a urine microscopy, and also do a urine culture and sensitivity test,so that the diagnosis of UTI can be confirmed and the exact antibiotic to which the bacteria is sensitive can be found out.Your doctor will guide you in this.

Meanwhile,as your doctor advises, continue the present line of management.

Hope your query is answered.
Thank you.
