My son is going to Gymnasium in almost daily basis . The advise was that could be just his system and we can give him natural syrup to clean out bacteria from his UTI . Please advice

Brief Answer:
hi

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I don't think there is anything very big to worry. His results are very mildy increased. However, these cannot be neglected and should be followed up again with repeat urinalysis after couple of weeks. If abnormal, an ultrasound and 24 hour urinary protein should be performed.

His streneous activity (gymnasium) could have been contributed to his results to some extent. However, glomerulonephritis, which is inflammation of kidneys should be ruled out completly.

Thanks

Thanks Doctor ,

Just to make things clear the reading in the lab report is 9 X 10^6/L and the old one is 14 x 10^6/L for the RBC .

He is taking a daily protein supplement as part of his Gymnasium daily program .

Please advice ?

Brief Answer:
This information was already given by you

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This information was already given by you as decrease from +2 to +1 and my advise on this remains same. His strenuous activity (gymnasium) could have been contributed to his results to some extent. However, glomerulonephritis, which is inflammation of kidneys should be ruled out completely as priority. This can be done by performing an ultrasound of abdomen/pelvis.

Thanks!
