This may be caused by a pinched nerve. Sometimes physical therapy may be used to help alleviate the issue. Also you could consider taking some ibuprofen two to three times per day for 10 days to see if that helps as well.
If symptoms are persistent I would recommend you make an appointment to see your primary doctor for a focused consultation with good physical exam for further recommendations.
